Hi all, Have just got back from the British motor show at Farnborough, Seat showed of the new Asphalt blue colour, little disappointed to be honest, compared to Mystery, bit of a let down, I know show lights aren't the best, but there didn't seem to be much of any sort of metallic sparkle to it!!

Not a colour I’d choose. It reminds me of the VW Night Blue metallic colour that was available on the mk7 Golf which IMO looked rather dull and uninspiring in any lighting conditions other than bright sunshine.

So hoping it might have been a bit like Audis Navarra Blue, that was wishful thinking!!

I wanted pre facelift mystery blue 110hp FR when I went in on Monday - nothing available , then I went for grey - nothing available so ended up with Nevada white which just arrived - collecting sept 1st. Late pre face lifts selling like hot cakes at my local dealers - maybe not discounting the new facelift versions has something to do with it.
I certainly wouldnt wait months for this Asphalt blue

I got a great discount on my pre facelift a few weeks ago, I wasn't bothered about the new dash so went for a Mystery blue one. The new light shade of blue is very nice but I'm not keen on that darker one.

How are you getting on with your Ibiza Nicole ? I’ve secured a FR 110 for sept 1st , also got a good discount as a pre facelift.

Damn, that body color and lighting makes the beloved Ibiza look so old. Make it look shiny/metallic or make it look aggressive/sporty!

And the italics at the back of the 2021 facelift look very bad to me. Out of place on an Ibiza. Same on the facelift Leon ...

Some designers in Seat don't know what they are doing, it seems. Well, they can't screw up the one I have, so there's that.

It's a great car, I have the 1.0t 6 speed and I've been surprised by the engine. I thought it would feel very underpowered but it seems to hold its own. It handles well and looks great with the right amount of equipment. I wish it had ACC but other than that I can't fault it so far.

Good to hear you are enjoying the car , always nice to read owners ‘real life’ experiences of the cars rather than read tons of reviews online / YouTube , saying that they are generally excellent. Mines the 6 speed 110 as well , test drove the 95 and was very impressed by the poke the little engine gave but dealer did a cracking deal on a 110. Got Nevada white in the end , not my 1st choice but it does look nice - just got to keep it clean now lol

Nevada white will be more forgiving than Mystery blue which is a pain to keep looking good. If it's anything like Oryx white in the VW range it looks great in the sun.

The only downside is when you get the dreaded tar from the roads on the bodywork and with white it’s going to show every mark. Think I’ll invest in a good tar remover.
btw love mystery blue , dealer just couldn’t get one at the time .

I had an S3 saloon that was navarra blue and that looked very plain indoors but looked lovely outside but again, it had chrome around the windows to perk it up like the other dark blue I had. The dealer who bought it from me had it in his showroom and it looked very dark, dull and a bit boring online but lovely outside when I had it.
It's a shame that there aren't any videos online of it on the move etc. I had a look and it kept showing other seat blues.

Switched previousl car from dark metallic to now solid white as fed up with all the swirl marks showing in sunlight

Had my car treated with GardX so hopefully tar won't stick to the bodywork and have invested front and rear mud flaps

That’s my only worry with Nevada white but have to say I do like it so will check bodywork as much as poss.

My current VW is white (see signature picture). I’ve owned it almost a year now and tar spots haven’t been an issue - just the odd one or two, and a good tar and glue removal product soon gets rid of them. No mud flaps for me - VW don’t make them for my Polo GTI and having had them on previous cars, I can’t say I’ve missed them, and the car doesn’t get any dirtier ‘sans mud flaps’ that previous cars I had with them.

Having a white car after a run of owning 6 dark coloured cars is great from a washing / maintenance point of view. I‘m happy to remove the odd tar spot - much easier than machine polishing a dark coloured car to remove the swirl marks which IMO will eventually happen over time, even if you use a safe two (or three) bucket wash method (I do!).

You‘re making me feel much better SRGTD , initially wanted the blue but happy I’ve chosen Nevada white.

That blue is awful, I had a mystery blue which was okay, wasn’t the biggest fan but I’ve just got my sapphire blue facelift and I absolutely love the colour. Everyone that sees it loves it too so I would highly recommend that.
