Hi,

I'm going for a new cd head unit and just want some help confirming the items i need. Here's what i reckon:

1. new head unit (obviously)
2. Seat Facia adapter
3. ISO multi fit wiring adapter
4. Aerial adapter

am i forgetting anything???

also,

I'm going to take out the cd changer from the glove box to give me some more room. Are there any additional parts needed for this??? e.g. blanking plates etc.???

cheers,

Sat

Grab yourself a glovebox inset from your local friendly seat stealer, it fills the hole taking the cd changer out leaves. Part number 1M08686591UQ (about £10 if I remember right).

Also you might need an aerial booster, to help with the radio reception..I didnt need one with my Alpine head unit, but others have..dont know much about them but I am sure someone will be along in a bit that does.

Check your head unit leads too..my Alpine unit pluged straight into the seat loom all I needed to do was switch the live and switched live leads around.

Do you then have 1 big glove box or is it in 2 sections?

2 sections mate, the insert goes in place of the cd changer and uses the existing cd trim panel to finish the job off.

most new cars and stereos dont need an adapter as they all use the same connections (someone once told me this)

I have an alpine unit in my R reg 306 and it went straight in
