Hi folks please be patient as I'm a first time ibiza owner and cant wait to see what it does on the open road...

As the details to the side poitn outI have a Ibiza 1.9tdi Fr in black with just under 11,000 on the clock....

What should be the first things i check for and what are nice simple improvements i can make to the car as a "start here" sort of thing.....

I've read about cotton green filters (i think thast theyre called) i'm right in saying i can buy a box (or panel) filterfor the ibiza and replace the stanard one in there.... what would i notice....

Oh and what sort of tyres do you cahps recommend - bearing in mind that i do sometimes have to travel to boro which is about 50 miles down the a19 twice a day for work.

Just remebered something else, I like to keep spare fluids for my cars so what oil should i look out for???

Thanks for spendig time reading and thanks for those who reply...

:D

hey welcome good choice in car mines exactly the same!
I've got the green filter it don't make much differnce really but they are better than the crappy paper ones as you jut clean it instead of getting new ones. Apparently its good after getting the cap remapped- use search tool to find out about this by the way. You may as well get the cupra air intake at the same time, theres a sticky thread with pics and info on here somewhere too. Go to Seat dealer for that and get the filter of someone on here its cheaper.

A few cheap mods are to get the seat sport accessoreis like air vent surrounds, gear knob, gear surround, then maybe a strut brace, have a look at seat.co.uk under sport accessories.

hope your enjoying the car had mine nearly a year and love it and the forums great for help and to go to meets and have a laugh.

yer I'm going from a 1.3 (10 year old - bless it little socks) beast to the fr....

With a remap do i lose any econamy? As atm the dealer/manufacturer recons i should get about 54mpg... which is great for me as i get 50 pence a mile through work :D

Does it invalidate my warrenty?

erm realistically warrenty is void but some dealers are ok with it some might not know, economy can be improved with remap under normal driving conditions but bit less when givind it a bit of right foot

hudson welcom to the sight matey!

you will love the ibiza matey but you must remember to use the search button when you want to know something there are loads of threads with info youl need to know :D

i wouldnt hesitate to go for a REMAP if you get the revo remap you can turn the remap on and off so when you want the power flick the switch or if its going into seat for work/service flick the switch off  and you will see power levels of like 180bhp! and still get your great mpg!!!!

enjoy the site mate! :seatgod:
