Hi guys been looking around the forum the last week and seems pretty good. Really enjoying the readers rides threads and when I start modding ill be starting my own but for now a few questions
My car is a 53 plate leon tdi cupra 1.9
I've noticed over the last couple of rainy days I seem to have the dreaded water leak. I'm going to check the pollen filter and the doors I know there's plenty of guides on here but I also looked into clearing the sunroof drain holes on the chance they're blocked. One website suggested using an old speedo cable core to clear it. Needs to be 2.3M long apparently anyone else used anything laying around the house? Seems a bit of waste to buy one for that or are they cheap?
Second my temp gauge seems to yo yo up and down until it's properly warm. Does this seem like the thermostat is on its way out?
And finally I'm sure I saw a readers ride thread a long time ago can't remember how I found it and can't re find it. It was a grey or silver leon mk1 that was running some merc AMG alloys that were sprayed purple. Anyone recognise this? I'd like to re find this because I'm interested in using the same alloys and would like to see about fitment etc
Anyway I'd appreciate any help and hopefully I can return the favour at some point
