new gti owner

hey everyone,posted a thread awhile ago about possibly getting a gti and now i've bought it! going to pick it up wed which is annoying cos i was supposed to get it on mon but ahh well.

Look forward to owning one, its the 1.8 16v gti (quite rare i hear...purple aswell!)

anyway heres some pics (looking filthy though,can't wait to wash it)

There is also our local lad called Matt. He isn't on here yet but does have (now slammed) purple GTI. seems that purple GTIs are now the most common colour. Ibiza_95, I think that Black is the new purple

Its also got the 8v spoiler. Your first modification should be getting some clear/smoked indicators

ye,looking forward to picking it up!got a few plans in mind,although how far along i get will depend on the money situation.

was originally gunna just use the car as a run around till i could afford a better car,but the temptation is a bit too much lol.

how does the 16v spoiler differ?

when i was looking for my new cupra, i was looking on autotrader where i found it, and the guy selling had written 'rare colour' so black is apparantly a rare colour for cupra's but i think purple will always be the rareist! good choice though mate, quite interesting as there rare in that engine type as well. 16v spolier has a slight lip on it. (but that causes drag and causes a 59bhp loss!!, thats why i got an 8v )
