New FR TDi Owner

Hi all, just found this forum on google and thought i'd join in. Today I traded in my trusty 03 petrol Cupra for my new Leon FR TDi 18" Wheels + Bluetooth. I am pleased with it so far, took it out on the dual carriage way tonight and couldn't tell much difference to my 180 bhp petrol model. Didn't thrash it too much though as it is less than a day old ;-)

PS

Does anyone know how to set up the bluetooth correctly with a Noki N80 ??? The manual that came with the car only tells you what the buttons on the steering wheel do and nothing else !

on the bluetooth thing there are a few threads kicking around on that (do a search for 'bluetooth') - looks like the consensus (of the stuff i've read so far) is that the series 60 nokias will connect ok (if everything is the latest version - ie: car and phone) but won't transfer the address book.

i'm probably going to end up getting a new FR tdi with BT myself and my phone is due for renewal too - looks like the n73 vs K800i debate I've been having has a new twist as the K800i seems to be working fine for people.

I have just ordered a TDI FR with the bluetooth, I'm just hoping my Nokia 6680 will work ok with the cars kit.

Will find out in 2 weeks.

Jealous - had mine a year now - in fairness still think its a pretty damn good car all in all. I have certainly embarrass a number of drivers during the last year.

I too have left some drivers looking puzzled as to why they've disappeared a long way behind me at lights!

I think people see the Leon FR (Who don't know about it) and think - "Oh I can beat this thing!".

Yesterday I had some idiot in a Passat who tried to play a racing game with me at some lights. I was in the right hand lane (which then merges back with the left). I wasn't intending to "race" him but he, being a prat, but down his foot. Now that car was FAST, but mine was FASTER

Also love leaving White Van man behind at lights after years of having them up my rear when I drove a 1.4 petrol Astra

We pick ours up on Saturday (Black Leon FR TDI +18s +BT +ipod connector). I'll report back on findings when I've had a blast in it.

It'll interesting to see how the bluetooth works with the Samsung d800.
