heres some rumours on the new facelift mk4.....its taken from the channel 4 website which tends to be pretty spot on

SEAT IBIZA 2006 : "Seat has already confirmed production plans for another bodystyle on the same platform; this could be a compact coupe-cabriolet or a mini-MPV to sit in range below the Altea. Ibiza Vario estates also likely next time round."

Interesting especially an Ibiza Cabrio! :funk:

Found this pic which if I could guess, is more *facelift* material than anything else I've seen.

My cousin is ordering a new Ibiza. The stealer described it as having the Leon wasteline etc ...but I think that was bs and he'd just seen the photoshopped example from a while ago from here http://www.autoweek.nl/forum/read.php?12,1537203,page=1

The pic I've stolen is on page 2 of the above thread.

that looks a more likely contender....NOTE: the rear windows open?! thats something i wish they had done on the 1st model and not to sure about the big grille! obviously still a fotoshop example as theres been no official launch by seat but i doubt it will be far off from that!

That looks quite convincing to me and I rather like it. I can't see them using the new swoopy swage line on the Ibiza – it would involve too much retooling on just about every side panel. I hope they give up that styling feature all together, as for me it completely ruins the looks of the latest range of SEATs. It was all right on Mk 6 Jags but it looks very contrived on modern cars. It also cancels out the forward stance of the car and makes it look very awkward – imho.

Just spoken to David Hobin at Preston Seat and he says the facelift is just a redesigned front and rear, and due out around June, with an all new Ibiza out next year

If that design sticks, then I'm liking the facelift much more than the orig mk4 ....but the mk3 is still the dogs dangleys.

Looks quality and if that stays then its not too much of a dramatic change.

Dont like it at all! :(

Dont look real either in my opinion! Looks like a cupra photochopped, more than likely Im very wrong but! If it is its a very good one!

Just the the way the front of the bottom bumper is, same as cupra! And where the lights meet the bumper:confused:

Told you the other didnt look right!

That is more than likely it!

Gona be alot of angry cupra owners! Wonder what the cupra will look like now?

Does it have so sort of skirts or is it just the white making it look like it does?

THey do, but gonna make all the current Cupra's look common if thats a base model.

Seems strange to make the base look like the previous flagship.

Personally prefer the current shape. Bit like what happened tot he mk2 punto when they facelifted it, same car withdifferent front back, the original always looked meanest.

Oh well,

in a way its good though because now you will get more 1.2 corsa drivers thinking you can give them a race as they will think ur car has a smaller engine...and you can laugh at them as you leave them standing! I love the summer when people get Seat Leon Cupra's from a certain car hire company (must of got a good deal at last production) and try and race you then realise they have all been restricted! and ytou leave them standing also! its quite funny!

Altho i could invest in a set of twin headlamps and new style bumper for my 1.2 then no1 could tell the difference! my 1.2 is in UK with a non dated private reg (my sis uses it while im away)
