Found an interesting post on btccpages from ex BTCC Champion Chris Hodgetts. Chris teaches and trains lots of drivers including Ben Winrow, James Pickford and Matt Jackson so he has a good handle on support series.

Good to see his son Stefan back in a race-car and winning the Clio's first time out :) Shame he doesn't apper to be doing the whole season, as IMHO Stef is one of the top 2-3 drivers to come out of Cupra's (Jackson, Huff being the other two)

Wasn't what I would describe as hard fought though, got a good start and lead from there on, most others were caught up or slowed by the enivitable Clio fun.

Shame we didn't see a full Clio race as ITV pulled the race short after 9 laps for BTCC schedules.

The Clio's just don't seem grown up to me. its almost like watching a karting race, they are fun but I prefer the Cupra's, but im surely biased.

There are plenty of talented drivers out there who deserve full drives, but without the money they are left out in the cold.

Full live coverage is now on Setanta Sports 2 subscription channel :( Men&Motors are supposed to be showing highlights of the support series throughout the year, but no idea on schedules.
