New car, what wax?

Hi,

Just received my new Ibiza in candy white. (non metallic).

I want to get some protection on there early and keep it in tip top condition. I prefer a wax to a sealent and don't mind putting in the extra effort.

However, money is short at the minute and can only spend about £15 for now. just want something to tied my over until I can invest in a better Carnauba Wax.

Can anyway suggest a Good Wax on a White car for £15?

Elite car care offer very good service, get on their site mate. I use collinite 476 and think it was £18 with terry towels and applicator pads (worth a look ;) )

Thanks :)

I've been doing a bit of digging on my own and am very tempted in the Poorboys Nattys Wax paste.

I read Detailing World big wax test ( done by Finer Details on here I believe) and it done very well. But obviously that was a while ago now, Is this still a great product? or does Collinite 476 have the edge?

If your after a wax to tide you over yet you want something good allround i'd look to a Dodo Juice Supernatural V2 Panel Pot - will cover your car at least 3 times over.

I have tried lots of polish/wax
spent lots on acrylic system was very good but expensive. Have moved to duragloss rv cleaner followed by duragloss 111 fantastic on candy white the rv cleaner chemically cleans the paint and lays down a layer of polish 111 brings out the bling.
check out Duragloss worth a look

hey shadder,

Did you find a nice wax for the candy white? I've never used wax or anything like that before :S any hints or nudges in the right direction for me?

my dealer 'gave' me their paint protection which apparently costs £395.00 called diamondbrite.. gives 56 year internal and external protection and claims ill never have to polish my car.. is this true???

i use race glaze signature 55 but thats not 15 quid, you could get the creme perfection race glaze instead, very very easy to apply and take off and you and do it in heat, very good results too

In recent years I've turned into a Zaino bitch and I don't think you can go far wrong with their products.

Good to hear you've joined the club !

Being one thast always looking to better their shine, I've bought a bottle of Gloss-It "Concorso Gloss" to drop over the Zaino, not cheap @ £17 delivered for a 118ml bottle, but who cares, its all about the shine

Should get some down on her this sunday
