Morning All,

I've been looking to change my '04 Celica for the last month or so and over the last couple of weeks have test driving Focus ST (that i can get the Ford employee discount on) Astra VXR, RX8, and Civic Type R.

I thought it would be an easy decision :D Focus ST, mainly because of the discount, power etc. But then i drove the TFSi, and i can honestly say that of all the above cars it was by far the nicest to drive, best driving position, smoothest engine(although RX was good).:) :) Only real negative was the quality of the interior plastics - but i can live with that.

So looks like TFSi it is in Black, even though my nearest dealer is 25miles aways

Here's the question:rolleyes: The dealer has an ex-demo in Black with the chrome look mirror covers and less than 1k (55) for £14k. Is this a good deal? or should i go for new with the Bi-xenons and 18"

Thanks for advice guys.:help:

how much are they brand new? THe alloys you can buy aftwerards anyway and I'm sure you can get xeonons fitted if you want. Just depends how badly you want that new car feeling?

If you can I would wait for the FR (200bhp, a bodykit, revised suspension etc) or the CUPRA (240bhp oh man)

However, the TFSI is 15995 new. I would expect to get the car new with haggling for £15k.....so £14 k is so so....maybe haggle a bit......depends on your budget.............the FR I think will be out in July for around £17k and the CUPRA in Nov/Dec for £18k-19k

Thanks guys. Been to have another look at the car tonight, looks great in black.

Have offered me the full Styling Kit inc 18" for another £2.5k. decisions, decisions! Looks good on the Luna Grey they had a showroom, but might be a little OTT  , IMO.

FR and Cupra do sound promising Stu:drool: . Think, i'll prob bite the bullet now though and go for new Black Magic with Xenon.

Cheers looking great Steve.

Are you happy with the fit (looks ok in the pics), oh and are they the Titanium finish wheels or the polished?

Thats exactly what mine would look like, was about to order it on Saturday when my girlfriend found a delivery mileage '55' Cupra R on the web, so off for a test drive in that beforee i sign on the dotted line.

I just paid £14,461 for a brand new metallic black Leon 2.0 TFSi Sport with space saver in the boot (list is £15,995 + £325 + £35 = £16,355). Only way to get this was via the broker, Drive the Deal.
