New Altea problems - anything to worry about?

I've just put a deposit down on an 06 Altea 1.9TDi from a UK Seat Dealer. There were two things I noticed on test drive that I have asked to be sorted before picking the car up. It was in workshop for its checks yesterday so will hear today whether all is OK. I will be getting a years seat used car warranty and the remaining months of the seat warranty, but would still like to hear if either of these are an issue?

1. There is a fairly strong vibration through the clutch either when resting foot on it moving or changing gear, or putting your foot on it when idling in neutral. Dealer says this is normal and they all do it. Can anyone confirm. I had same engine in Audi A4 before and didn't notice it, and all this talk of dual mass flywheels concerns me a little. I didn't notice any judder on pulling away or slipping, just the vibration.
2. There is a rattle/vibration coming from the dash/drivers door/front end when you get to 80mph - nothing at all before that speed. Sorry, cant be any more specific as to where it is coming from. Whether it is related to wind noise and the fix that was released for that I dont know. I'm assuming the fix is incorporated in an 06 car by now. Does anyone have any ideas what this may be as it is very annoying.

Thanks

*** FORGET POST ABOUT ENGINE NOISE BELOW - have found another thread on this now. ***

Sorry, the other think I noticed was the tdi is a bit louder in the cabin than I remember on the audi. Another website I found suggests the cause of this is:

Engine noise damping cover not fitted to Stylance 1.9 diesels. Costs £70 to have fitted.

I've not been able to find out any more about this. Anyone had this done and did it make any difference? Does it just refer to the plastic cover that is put on top of most engines these days or is it something else?

Its probably more likely I've just got used to a petrol again.

I have found the judder with the clutch judder, but it is a background vibration as if just vibrations of gearbox/flywheel/engine. I have no problems with clutch or anything yet.

The rattle, i had one under acceleration, but seems to have gone after i removed radio and fiddled around with vents etc.

A very good car, watch out for the wet windows, go to see car on a wet day and roll all windows down and up again, check for a film of water on the INSIDE!

Good luck.

We have an 07 1.9 referance sport now with 20k on the clock ..and its been absolutly brilliant.. no complaints at all and only been back for routine maintanance .. a first for any new car we've had.
The only issue we have had is wet inside the windows but i think it was cos our little girl left window open a bit for a couple of nights.. but yeah its not as dry inside as my Megane. But for what it is and how much it cost great car.

Thanks all. Have now bought it. The judder doesn't seem as bad as I thought and it is just a vibration through the pedal, so think that is fairly normal.

Whats the deal with the windows then? I checked and it does have a little bit of moisture on the drivers inside window? What is the fix for this, and why is it a problem? Car is under warrantly so am better sorting it now if it is a problem.

The inner seals of the windows need 'modified'. i.e. cut away as far as i gather. Bring it back, if they deny knowledge, get them to ring Seat customer care/tech and show them the HUGE thread on the subject on here.
