my fr tdi seems to be faulty, again. the flashing coil symbol appears on the dash without warning and i lose power. its happened a few times but if you pull over and turn off the engine and restart it goes away again - this happened to me 3 times yesterday. seems to be ok if i give it plenty of revs. i know those among you might point towards the dpf but that light hasn't come on once. any ideas? i'm having to work from home today (luckily) but don't feel its safe to drive right now. this si the 4/5th time its broken down in a year, not a happy bunny at all and am seriously consiedering selling now.[:@]
any clues to whats wrong with it?

Have you tried this thread http://www.seatcupra.net/forums/showthread.php?t=170732

I had the problem since new (08) and got it fixed (fingers crossed) a couple of weeks ago.

Dealers say DPF straight away and hand a leaflet over, (4 of them in the glove box now!) I had to be forceful with them last time and told them I didn't want to hear DPF as it was clearly not and something electrical - guess what a faultly sensor only took 5 trips to a dealer to come up with this.

Good luck and thats crap about your bonnet, had the same done to mk5 golf when it was only a few weeks old.
