Hi guys, very strange (for me!) problem with my Mk3 Cupra,
Over the last couple of months, its been refusing to rev past 3.5-4K, literally like its been hitting the limiter -- havent driven it much at all and due to work was unable to get it into a garage which I know is rubbish
Anyway last week, the gf was driving and the clutch went down the M4, got it fixed and asked them to sort the engine too, they reported the MAF gone and replaced it.
Went to pick it up yesterday and its still not right, revs to about 4K now, but then feels like you take your foot right off the accelerator, then in a couple of seconds SLAM it back on, feels like my learner days of Kangaroo gas!!
It has an APR stage 1 remap, the switchable one, and the problem feels a little less when in standard trim -- the garage guys guessed at the DV, but I couldnt leave the car with them -- it was in Slough, and im in MK.
Ive got a rare day off today, so if anyone has any ideas what I could do, short of taking it to the local Seat dealer who want £50 just to VAG-COM it (showing no faults at the moment) I would be very appreciative!
Dont mind getting my hands dirty with simple things, and spending what I need to -- really just want her working again!
Thanks!
