It's probably quite a simple fix...a clicking sound would mean a starter motor
problem...no sound - it may be totally caput !
If you are certain that the battery isn't goosed, then check the alternator - you can do this by disconnecting the -ve lead from the battery while the car is running - if it continues to run the alternator is ok - if not, that's where your
problem lies. (Ps loosen the -ve lead before you start the engine, so that you can remove it easily without a nasty shock !)
If the
problem isn't the alternator, it's likely to be the starter motor.
Make sure all the wiring connections to these parts are ok, just in case anything has shaken loose.
It wouldn't be uncommon for any car with less years/mileage behind it, having such problems = wear & tear mate...the LCR is a cracking car !
If you are struggling with it, I stay in Glasgow - if your nearby, I'll
help out as much as I can - it doesn't sound anything major tbh.
