Hi Friend

I need your help to choose sport suspension kit for my Leon Turbo 4WD 2002 model (20VT-4) 180BHP.

I prefer the sport suspension and not the coil-over

Here, in Israel there is no expirience at all with suspension upgrade, or on my model (only 20 20VT-4 cars here) so please try to help me not to make mistakes :(

How about the regular sport kit from KW ? (20081045 not coilover)
How about Kony sport shocks + springs from MAD or Eibach ?
Is it any cheap and good other manifecturer ?
I want to order it via Air_Mail, so do you have any recomendation where to order from (Wich country in Europe is the cheapest)

Thanks

Lior

i think kw is quite firm compared to koni

probably best from a euro country such as germany or italy

also bilstein / eibach

You may not realise this is a UK based forum and SEAT don't import the 4WD Leon into the UK so there isn't much experience of it.

Suspension Upgrade

Cannot comment on the rear i.e. the Four wheel drive set up. But, having researched the front drive Cupra model and gone with Koni shocks and Eibach Springs, I can recommend it as being a lot firmer than standard even with the Koni's set on lowest setting.

Eibach and Bilstein kits are expensive and the shocks are fixed rate, so if you think it is too firm or too soft once fitted then tough.

The Eibach Springs are good as they do not lower as much, about 20mm and are progressive. The Konis up front are great as they are top adjustable and you can tune to suit your roads/taste. The rears are adjustable, but a pain because you have to remove from the car to adjust.

Other favourites are H & R I think, but the springs lower by 30-40 mm which would have my car beached on a speed hump about 20 m from my house.

If you purchase in the UK and export you may be able to save VAT in the UK.
