Need Help: Engine Conversion

hey guys...

i bought MK2 Ibiza 1.3L and want to swap 1.6L engine in it

since i'm living in Egypt and the tax on 2.0L engines very high so i can't swap it

so i want to know should i swap the Polo GTI 1.6L 16V engine or there is better 1.6L engine than that one ?

and is there any different between the engine in MK3 Polo GTI and MK3F Polo GTI ?

and can i swap the MK3F Polo GTI engine in MK2 Ibiza ?

as Panty said its a 1272CC engine its not very bad engine at least its better than 1.0L engine

but still i need more performance from this car because i love it so much

the 1.6 16v in the polo is pretty quick actually, maybe the polo is lighter but it definatly gave my valver a fright... for a lil while probably one of the best engines to stick in..

unless you get a 1.8 16v from the mk3 golf and some mk2 ibiza's.

1.8 16v was the mk2 golf, the mk3 16v only came in 2.0 flavour!

i wanted to swap the 1.8 16v but still the tax is high

so i guess i'll stick with the 1.6 16v from the Polo but i need to know is there any problem if i use the engine from MK3F Polo GTI ?

i also heard if you put a 1.6 ibiza engine in it you can fit the inlet and turbo off of a tdi of the same year, make it a 1.6 turbo, im not 100% sure if it does work tho lol

i have a mk3 ibiza that is a 1.4 but the engine has blown up, since i have to replace it anyway i thought i mite aswell put in a bigger engine, turns out it cant be done but aparently the 1.4 engine from a polo will go straight in and the polo version is 16v, were as the seat 1.4 is only an 8v,

im hoping that ill e able to make it a 1.4 16v seat ibiza
