I have a Clio Sport and the MPG is running around the 28 mark. Im struggling to justify this so im now looking for the Leon TDi 150.

I like the look of the FR but cant seem to get one with the wheels i want for anything less than £11500 on a 54 plate.

There are alot of 04 plates with the cupra wheels.

What difference is there? is it just the wheels?

is 59k on an 04 plate bad? and is there anything i need to look out for? cambelts and such.

I will probably end up getting one and hopefully i will chip it. What MPG are people running on chipped 150 TDi's?

Cheers

Sorrry if it has been asked befor but the FAQ link at the top doesnt work for me.

Depends how you drive it mate.

I had a long run to Wales (about 120 miles) a few weeks ago & got about 54mpg.

Going to work everyday (mixed driving - 25 miles), I get about 46-48mpg (before remap i was hitting over 50 - but didn;t have half the fun lol)

Wafty - cant comment on the differences. 59k on an 04 plate isnt bad at all, in fact its better at least its getting near being properly run in (80k). Things to look out for - nothing imparticular apart from the usual car issues, and stuff like a lot of smoke or dull performance.

The differences between a cupra and an FR are.

The FR has:
A single CD player
FR 17 inch wheels
and silver wing mirrors.
Later FR were branded as FR+ and had the LCR front bumper.

The Cupra has:
A 6 cd auto changer
17 inch Cupra wheels
and body coloured wing mirrors.

Apart from those small changes they are exactly the same.

Don't the cambelts need doing @60k? Negotiate it into the deal...

Sidlow Gatwick had a 49k 04 (silver or grey can't remembe) Cupra for 10500 on their forecourt the other day. Only looked cos' i thought it must be a petrol one.
