Neatest way to wire 6x9's...?

Hey folks,

I have ordered a stealth shelf, and a set of Alpine SPE-69C3 6x9's.

Nothing expensive, but those 6x9's are designed to work from HU power so hopefully sufficient.

My headunit is a Sony CDX-GT610U (4x50W, usb etc)

When I fit the 6x9's, I was thinking, for neatness of wiring; to staple down the speaker cable under the shelf, the problem that causes, is if I need to take the shelf out...

Alternatively, I thought of this;

Remove speaker wire from existing rear speaker, solder on bullet connectors.

Get small amount of some extra speaker wire, solder bullet connectors on one end, and spade connectors on the other, and attach them to the other bullet connecter, and the spades to the speaker connections.

That way, I can just remove the bullet connector by the original speakers if I need to take shelf out... And the wires can always remain stapled to the shelf and neat...

Any better ideas?

But then so can Thieving scum! a quick brick through the window, lean in, and just pull the shelf out and do one! it happened to me with my old car. i found the neatest way is to stich the wire onto the shelf with black cotton thread, takes ages but looks neat!

Thieving scum will take things no matter what, they'll just rip things apart to get to it ! :(

The black stitching is an idea mate!

I know the whole 6x9 situation! But if I had any thoughts of getting an amplifier etc, then i'd never use 6x9's, I just wanted a cheap simple solution to a half decent sound without any wiring through the car, and the full use of my boot.

At a later date (year or so) I might get a sub and amp but if it came to that i'd get rid of the 6x9's and have no rear speakers like I had it on my MK3.
