used a bit of tar spot remover and then washed it, after that I gave it a once over with Mr Sheen again

What ya reckon on the shine for 60p ?

Hmm i think i remember you posting using mr sheen before aswell right?? It looks really good....is there any drawbacks of using furniture polish on your paint, anyone??

dont know about any drawbacks but i wouldnt be using it on mine anyway!

can you use lemon mr sparkle..... and lemon ciff for the tar/bugs, goes well on a ovni seat.

No porkies, the stuff you can see is a bucket,sponge,tesco own brand wheel cleaner in a proper spray bottle (pink liquid), tar spot remover (black trigger spray), tesco own brand shampoo (black 2ltr bottle),2 sponges and a chammios
Oh and there is a crappy pressure washer just in sight that I was going to use but it doesn't work

Honest, I use MR sheen to polish the car about 4 times a year and It is very very easy and very very good for beading water 3 months later, also dead flys just float off with cold water and a bit of shampoo

All I do is clean the car, dry it then spray on the Mr Sheen, give it a wipe over with a soft cloth and that's it WELL SHINEY with no buffing at all

On dark colours it needs a little buffing but less than a normal polish

Mr sheen has way way more cilicone in it than any off the shelf car polish because car polish enevitably gets washed down the drain or soaked into the ground and the powers that be will not allow any more than a trace of cilicone doing that

And it's cheap at about 60p for 3 or 4 polishes depending on the size of car

When I first posted about using Mr Sheen on the car I got a lot of people telling me it would damage the paint

well I personally have used it for years and had nothing but ( very shiny, good beading and easy to clean/remove dead flys from ) paintwork in fact I swear by it

I use it on the paintwork,wheels, black vinyl trim, glass, tyres and on my company car I even use it on the leather seats

I think I started off using it on the interior and dash and accidentally got some on the paintwork and got a good result

I have googled it and found that I am not alone, there are lots of people using it to good effect


Does it damage your Granny's 200 year old varnish on her dining room table ?

Does it damage cheap Ikea chip board furniture ?

Does it damage lacquered brass fittings on your living room door or electrical fittings ?

Does it damage your gloss paintwork in your living room ?

I didn't think so, at the end of the day the speedy and shiny results speak for themselves as it has a high content of silicone in it

Fair enough! Just thought maybe that you would get swirls or something, but what do i know!

hehe loving the mr sheen, i used to have spray wax from poundland on mine when i fist had it!
