Nasty sqealing noise

Hi,

Ive got a strange intermittant problem with the rear passenger wheel. It makes the most horrible squealing metal grinding sound ive ever heard on a car. See vid below:

No idea what it could be. Discs and pads are brand new (were changed to see if it would cure the problem).

Sometimes does it only in reverse, sometimes both directions.

Seeing that you've got 4wd I was going to ask whether it could be anything relating to the 4wd system, but listening to it, it sounds like something is causing resonance against that heat shield that sits behind the disk. Was the handbrake mechanism working OK when you changed the brakes?

Hi,

Sound doesnt seem to be coming from the 4wd system, its definately coming from that corner. Good point about the handbrake system, it seems to be working OK but ill check it out.

Rear disc splash guard looked v.v.close to the disc so thats been adjusted. Hopefully that was it!
