Name that hose...

Hi,

Anyone know what this hose just left of the dipstick is called?
Apparently it's split and I need a new one. Just had the one to the right of it replaced.

Breather hose for the inlet manifold?

Sorry, it's really dark and quite hard to get a good shot of it.

Here's another.

It's directly above and slightly to the left of the dip stick.

can you take a wider shot of the pipe? also what does it look like it joins to?
You could sign up to vagcat.com and look it up on their

If your driving to wherever your buying it from then just ask them to come out and have a look at what you want them to order.

EDIT.
Ok just had a look at mine, well attempted to, god thats awkward to see lol.

It looks like it attaches to the intake manifold in the centre, on vagcat, the manifold pic with the hoses on is a maze lol

Yeah, attaches to intake manifold - it's the pipe on the far left.

The garage is 50 miles away. I need to order in advance of going down.

ok sussed the pic out, to me it looks like the elbow that is number 23 on the pic which it claims is part number 06A133783G, held on with clips N 10255501 and N 10201901.

Pic courtesy of vagcat.com, hope thats ok.

Thanks mate!

I'm going to confirm that it's the same pipe when it's light.

Yes definitely check, can you actually see where its split? the pipe i looked up comes from the centre of the intake manifold just behind the dipstick and bends 90 degrees towards the passengers side of the car and along. Is quite hard to see on mine as I still have the plastic surround around the dipstick and along.

Cheers guys.

Was indeed no.23 on that figure.

Got the pipe, but looks really awkward to fit given the angle and the inlet manifold being in the way. Going to take it to a local garage to fit. Looks a 5min job.

Oh a pipe was bodged to replace the split one. Engine management light subsequently went out :).
