Hello

I have a question about N75 valve. I noticed that some of us change it to a different one. Are there any REAL advantages coming from that ? Ive read that it helps to kep a higher boost but ... im not sure if that will be healthy for my engine if it was remapped to use some specific boost.

Can anyone who has changed his N75 valve tell me if its really worth it ? Maybe some dyno runs ?

Its not worth it unless your car is remapped and you're getting surging with your current N75 valve. A lot of people change them for an N75J but most go back to stock.

The N75J doesn't physically give you more boost, it just reacts slower to the ECU telling it to open the wastegate to get rid of excess boost. An unwanted consequence of this is that it also reacts slower to the ECU telling it to close the wastegate when it wants more boost. It can cause a bit of "kangaroo effect".

Most people find that it gives a higher initial boost spike but lower sustained boost levels. Personally, I'd stick with the stock N75F valve that will be fitted to your car at the moment.

I have a stage 2/custom map and I'm running a standard N75F with no problems. I had a GIAC map on a previous Cupra and that suffered from horrible surging, I would've tried an N75J on that but as long as you have no surging I think you'd be better sticking with the standard N75.

If you do decide to change from stock, I'd go for an N75J (which I used to run) as opposed to a far more expensive ECS race N75 which I have now. There is little difference between the two.

hello! I changed to the "H" valve and I get aprox 2-3 psi higher boost all across the rev range. + it picks up much much faster. There is a slight surge on partial power in 5th and 6th gear between 1500-2000rpm. Like it takes a while to settle... but its all good :D

Mine has just started surging strangely. Remap has been on for a good few months and only seems to do it sometimes. Worth changing to the N75J?

perhaps just try another n75f, they are pretty hit and miss as to whether you get a good one! my brand new one was worse than my old one!
