does anyone have a picture of where the N75 valve is located and how much they are to replace? also can i get one from a VW dealer or does it need to be a seat dealer?

also am i right in assuming the N75 and N18 valves are the same thing? if so can i swap them over (my N18 is longer plugged in and the pipes blocked off) to test if the problem is with my N75 valve??

well i have just been out to check on my N75 and N18 and i dont know if someone has swapped them around but from what i can gather the N18 is all black and the N75 is black with a white top right? well mine are the other way around!!! the one with the white top is connected to the EGR and the one with the black top is connected to everything else? is this right or have they been swapped around?:wtf:

correct Nic. Swapping is fine as mentioned on the other thread.

You can get a new one from any VAG group dealer, just give them the P/N on the side.

The N18 and N75 are exactly the same internally and operationally, only different caps, hence a different letter on the end of the part no.

OK, this may or may not help, it's a diagram and a picture that I have used in answering earlier questions.

The colours of the valve tops may not be reliable, as from what you've said in earlier posts this car has been modified to blank the EGR off.

Can you tell us exactly how that has been done? On my car, a 2001 plate Toledo with the TDI 110 ASV engine, I can simply disconnect the electrical connector from the N18 valve and no engine light come on. Later versions of the same car, though, had different ECU firmware and did bring up the light. You've told us that in your car the pipes are blanked off - what pipes would those be?
