right i've been having a few problems with my standard cupra since i bought it 6 month ago,
it felt really sluggish and used LOTS of petrol (avg-24mpg), so i eventually hooked up a boost gauge and found it only boosts up to 2psi...although i did kind of expect this as the engine management light has come on twice with the same error ''17965 charge pressure control-positive deviation'' found on vagcom.
I have since replaced all vacuum hoses and fitted a new MAF sensor also resetting the ecu and tba, but still no joy.
so today i ordered a new n75 valve and booked in at jbs for them to look at the car, after doing this i had another look around the engine for split pipes etc and found that the electrical plug going into the n75 has either been cut or over time worn and the copper wire is now split,so out of the two connections going into the plug only one is actually connected......
just wondered if this might be the cause of my problems?????as it will be holding the wastegate shut and causing overboost thus giving gimp mode an only 2psi????
any help or comments much appreciated!
