n75 fault code

im getting 17956- n75 open circuit - intermittent

now after having a search people generally say to replace the n75, now this seems to have started since i had all these problems with boost hoses flying off, i cleared the code last friday, checked it tonight and its back.

thing is, could it be due to a boost leak? or would that throw another code? i wondered if open circuit means that the piping is leaking maybe?

the car still boosts to 21 psi, but doesnt feel right at all! ive checked the hoses and dont think theres a leak unless its a small one maybe?


probably worth mentioning it throws no fault code though, i only found it playing about!

i'd check the vac hoses going to the n75 (8mm) ones first. Go from there

well had a quick look at my hoses and everything seems fine, still getting the same code when just on idle i.e. no boost

and when i disconnect the plug, same fault code. should it be the same code though? has anyone had the n75 go faulty and had open circuit fault?

wondering whether to go to seat tomorrow and get an air con pressure sensor and a new n75?
