Hi

Is there any "danger" of driving around with a open leak from the pipe that goes from the left side of the inlet manifold and to the N249 valve? Nearly got to work and the car started to drive odd.

Vagcom said mechanical failure of the N249, opened bonnet and the silicon hose on the left side of the inlet manifold to the N249 was "cut off, cracked, splitted" at the T-piece.

So I have to put a new T-piece in, but I work about 50 km from work..

I really hope that this is my problem, as the car has been foocked for a while now..

your car will not run right with this mate, it would be classed as a boost leak.Which pipe is it, see my guide here for pics http://www.seatcupra.net/forums/showthread.php?t=215866&highlight=n249+bypass+guide

if i was you i would go to the nearest DIY place, get about 3ft of 4/5mm fuel line or silicon tubing and some cable ties and do a quick job on it, otherwise the drive home will be painfull.

Also while you are at it, bypass the N249 altogether, 10 minute job in all.

I think the pipe to the N249 is the back one of the two ports on the underside of the inlet manifold, so you will need to remove the pipe that goes to FPR to access it.
Probably need to remove the metal plate which attaches to the dipstick too, could be frustrating if still has crappy one use clips holding pipes on

If you have bypassed the N249 the plastic tee being broken doesn't matter as there is no flow of air through it anymore but only electrically connected.
You could always do the bypass as a temporary measure until you get a new tee if you still want it working

The damn T-piece I had was too small, but was able to join the reinforced to the Dv and block the last stud on the T-piece.

The broken T-piece got alot more "broken", as I was trying to get it out of the hoses withoutluck, so the ends are just in "free air" now..

I am though trying to find out why my car acts so wierd, so I will get it back to stock when possible, just to take the bypass out of the equasion
