n249 bypass

Ian_cupra sorted me out with the n249 bypass on the weekend but on sunday engine mangement light come on and read fault code P1287??? and a brief description of something to do with vacum faultor error....... Car drives smooth as, so i'm a bit confused. There is a loose lead as i removed the bracket and reservoir. Could this be the reason for the code? Also where is the best place to purchase uprated n75 and tip?

Yes this will be the reason, that lead needs connecting to a series of resistors to fool the ecu, it's all detailed on the N249 bypass thread:

hey freddie, did you remove the electrical part that connector was plugged into??

should have said not to, as you need to fool ecu into thinking its still working, can either use resistors or just leave it plugged into the n249 valve.

is it running better now then?? prob due to that boost pipe being shafted.

Its running really smooth just ordered a forge TIP. I've got the bug real bad! Still abit gutted about BHP result but Torque was pretty cool. Few more goodies then another remap i think (awesome or revvo?)

cool, make sure you secure it down properly when you put it back on. its a pain to find somewhere to do it.
