N/s mirror has a mind of its own!

Can you help me please.

My passenger door mirror has a mind of its own.

whatever position i move it to and store it at it seems to move all on its own to an unsuitable postion. (usually the sky or the kerb in full view)

it often doesnt move down when i engage reverse either.

This is really annoying me.

any help would be appreciated.

I will investigate.

is it hard to get the panel out to view the connection and how do i view the connection to the door mirror?

Haven't got my car yet to check but has the door mirror got a cheater cover on the inside of the car that you can unscrew and remove to reveal the harness connection? At the other end is probably a set of spade connectors attached to the terminals on the mirror controls. Unfortunately cars are designed to be built once with little thought of the customer or serviceability....

adjust it after the right hand side one,it copies it.or does your cupra have the reverse feature on it? it moves to parking postion when reverse is engadged
