i can see thick red liquid under my car very slowly dripping, where abouts is the power steering fluid under the bonnet where i can top it up so get it to a garage??
Power steering fluid is normally green (mineral oil) the red liquid could be brake fluid , if i was you id check both.
The power steering fluid reservior is between the passenger side headlight and battery box, right down at the bottom... its got a green cap which is really difficult to get off....another great design by Seat!. theres an indicator stalk attached to the cap which will show if you have lost PAS fluid.
Hope this helps
just checked the brake fluid, thats fine and the colour is a brown/yellow colour so not that, must be pas fluid, was same colour as my clio 182 i had when that leaked (twice) rubbish. cant get to the pas tank with the green lid, its right underneath the battery??? any ideas?????????????
I managed to loosen it with some pliers, then got my little cousin with his weedy arms to get it out! im sure you could get it off just with pliers, if you dont have a little person to hand.
my mistake, it wasnt the power steering fluid leaking it was engine oil leaking from the filter, but the red colour was from a small crack in the radiator, got oil change and new filter and seat have ordered the radiator under warrenty.
