My new Kiwi Green Ibiza Track car!

Hey all,

Rockingham in the rain is AWESOM!! Had a wicked time on the dry/wet/dry/wet track and learned a load about car control in the process. The Ibiza was spot-on, perfect in fact. The alignment made the car fantastically agile and trust-worthy as well as beautifully balanced. We did a total of 160 track miles wit breaks throughout the day. The brakes lasted very well, especially seeing as that Rockingham is supposed to be a proper brake killer.. the car use dup about a tank and-a-bit of juice, averaging 20mpg (Not bad at all..)

Also, big news guys - I'M taking the Ibiza to the Nurburgring next month!! Rockingham was the best track day ever and has really got me into the track thing even more than I was before, especially as the Ibiza went so well.

Well excited and i've already started prepping it with an oil change and general check-over by the workshop guys at work.

I've never done this track (I'm not going to try and spell it again..) before and I hear its quite scary but I know the Ibiza will be up for it :)

Will post up pictures of the trip as soon as i'm back - I reckon on doing around 8-10 laps while i'm there..

Bring on the learning!

Hey all,

Its been a busy couple of weeks with the prep for the Ibiza's Holland & Germany trip later this week.

Well, I say busy - its mainly been cosmetic, e.g. fitting the GB sticker properly :D

I've clean and inspected all over and also took it to work to get it onto a ramp to do an oil change and to fit the cigar lighter so I have something to power my navi unit off. It was quite a simple job luckily. I also RainX'ed all the windows in case the weather is dodgy - this stuff really helps visibility.

The car looked great on the ramp - everyone at work was all over it :) I had it given a good look-over and it was given a big thumbs-up by all - nothing needed doing. I have bought some EBC Redstuff pads in case the fronts get finished off at the 'ring up in reality there is loads of life left in the brakes and tyres so I doubt i'll need the pads (Fingers crossed - i'll take them anyway just in case).

Everything looked great underneath but I did some undersealing while I was there anyway.

Looks good mate, amazing what a good clean can do to the look of cars... nice. Looks like it would do some damage on track!
