Hello,

It's about time I started a thread on my new Leon FR. I had a 2015 Ibiza FR TSi ACT (140) but had suspension issues from very early one so after much complaint upgraded to this:

MY16 Leon FR 1.4 ecoTSi ACT (150). Went for the spoiler, 18" alloys, tech pack, convenience pack, Full Link and spare wheel. In Apollo Blue - it seems a rare colour, understated and blue is the new grey.. You just wait!

I have to say it's such an upgrade over the Ibiza, more compliant, smoother, quieter etc. The screen and Full Link is a revelation. I'm seriously enjoying the car. It's not as nippy as the Ibiza or as powerful/special as what I'm used to (Had a 290bhp TT Quattro Sport and still have a MK1 Golf Rivage in the garage), but a DTUK and a few subtle mods will head me in the right direction :funk:

So far I've given it a once over with some Dodo Juice Lime Prime Lite and one layer of Supernatural hybrid. Oh and upgraded the washers to the fan style. Next on the list is the fog lights. I have some Philips Diamond Vision left over from the Ibiza but unsure whether or not to go full on LED. Anyway, more pictures for now (I'll get some proper DSLR ones up soon enough):

Apollo blue is a great colour, it looks different in different lights. I want a spoiler for mine! It's on the list for next years mods. Spent too much this year lol

Ah very nice, saw this on your instagram would have liked the convenience pack and full link, but will get that next month i think, whats it like? Will be usuing my android phone with it, although i might just use my ipod as although going through bluetooth shows whats playing i would like the album art and a bit better control!

Looks great, I went from an Ibiza to the leon and it's amazing how much more planted it is.

Unbelievable isn't it! Both brand new cars and they are night and day.

Apollo Blue! A man with good taste :)

Apollo Blue is such a good colour. Subtle yet looks greats in different lights.

The spoiler makes the car. I wangled 'cost' at £300 fitted and painted. Although they did a **** job so it's going back to get re-done! ;)

Stalker!

The Full Link actually makes the car what it is. I know it's pricey (£150 factory or £200 dealer fit) but for how often I use it (every single journey) it's worth the outlay. I use it with Apple Carplay on a iPhone 5s and love it for how easy it is, literally plug and play. Spotify is buggy (laggy) but once it works it's fine - used it from a Journey from Sheffield to Maidenhead and it only jittered once for around 10 seconds (prolonged zero signal).

I tired MirrorLink and Android Auto on my works Galaxy S5 and it trumps the Apple CarPlay all over. The Seat App and Mirror Link is really, really good. Imagine a desktop in your car, different screens and apps, weather, radio etc etc. And Android Auto has the new Marshmallow skin on it, similar in functionality to the Apple CarPlay, just Android. Put it this way, I'm upgrading to Android next month for the added functionality it offers in the Leon over Apple ios. And I've been with Apple for years and years! You won't regret it.

Nice Car I did think about getting the Apollo blue but went for the bolder choice of Alor blue which looks a lot bluer in the flesh than in photos and after years of having red then silver cars is a big change for me....

Great looking car in that colour.
Before you go for a DTUK box, give Steve at DTI Tuning a ring. You may be pleased you did!

Thanks! I love Alor Blue, I really do. But no stock cars available and the Mrs wasn't a fan.

Do you have a link or contact number? Can't seem to find DTI Tuning?

Sorry, my mistake, finger trouble! It's TDI Tuning you need to look for.
They really know their stuff.
Can't recommend them highly enough.
Hopefully you can catch them be the Xmas shutdown!

That's a lovely car mate :)

I think I'll go for that blue, although my other half likes the metallic white. I think white looks better with the electric roof (good contrast) but worse with the wheels ('performance' 18"), as they stand out more against the blue body...

Haha! Not at all, it's just most people have heard of DTUK, but I had much better results with TDI Tuning.
It's good to have a choice...

Very ture mate.

What did you have the box fitted to? be good to here some back to back feedback on 2 different suppliers.

I have tried both boxes on my 184 and the DTUK box just seemed to over-fuel at low revs and made the engine rough.
The TDI Tuning box didn't do this, and made the engine run really smoothly, and feels like it produces more power.
It doesn't have the fancy buttons on it like the DTUK one does, but once you've found a good setting you're not going to be changing it every 5 minutes.
