Yup thats Parkers for you:)

Went down there years ago to pick up 3 tonnes of metal and 5 tins of red oxide paint and when I went to the trade counter the guy insisted there was only paint to pick up - couldent see my point that the paint was for the 3 tonnes of metal I was picking up that they failed to shotblast and prime themselves:rolleyes:

The postman kindly delivered me a package from Forge today, so that should be all the silicone pipework ready for fitting. Just need to get the alloy sorted now.

Waiting for my new rachet and socket set before i can fit the rocker cover. A bit of sunshine would be nice too!

Got the rocker cover fitted today, i'm super happy with how it looks.

I also managed to tidy up the fuse box on the battery and tucked it away so it can't be seen. Re-fitted the battery cover too as i wasn't happy with it.

Hopefully i'll be ordering a washer bottle cover over the next few weeks. Clutch, flywheel and Blueflame downpipe and cat are in on their way at the moment.

Cheers.

Unfortunately, the only bit of red pipework that's staying is the TIP, all the intercooler pipework is getting changed for black.

Thanks. The engine is my main focus for the time being as i've never been happy with how it looks. It's getting there now.

Looking good mate, sure i can't pursuade you to drop my bits over tomorrow for me ??

Are your bits off of the car mate? I'm mean't to be having a lady day tomorrow but we could head down that way i'm sure :)

what else you got in mind for the engine then martin?

The intercooler pipework is being re done around the side of the engine to fill some space. I need to sort a oil catch tank too. My inlet manifold is away getting chromes at the moment. Just a general tidy up really.

They can be within the hour, and i'll even drop them round in my shiney cupra R i've got sat on the drive ;)

I can't guarantee that i'm going to get down there so it's up to you mate. If you decide to take them off i'll take them to work and i'll pick them up on the way through.

Today saw the fitting of my new clutch, flywheel, engine mounts and turbo wasegate.

13 hours later, it's all done. Engine out and back in. Unfortunately my downpipe and cat didn't arrive in time so that'll have to be fitted at a later date. The new clutch feels like heaven, so much lighter that when the dual mass was on it. The BFI engine mounts aren't solid, but do transmit some vibration into the car. Well worth doing in my opinion, they make the car feel more responsive.

I only got a few pictures that i'll try and upload tomorrow.

Just wanted to say a massive thanks to Ben for doing the work and the cups of tea:)

Haha, true....my tea making skills are poor. I'll measure up for pipework on wednesday and have a look at the throttle body side too. Might pop down to the trophy shop so you'll have to let me know about what you want written on them before then:)
