Like the title says, but one corner at a time!

Has anyone else had the following problem?

I carried four people and their week's luggage from Bristol to Barnsley just before Christmas (no presents, they had already been delivered). Not a particularly heavy load, just what you would expect any 5-door car to carry.

Ever since, the offside rear is definitely half an inch lower than all the other corners. I've measured the gap from the rims to the wheel arch on all four corners. You can even see it listing when it's parked on the drive.

This is the corner my mum was sitting in. She's getting a complex now!

It doesn't affect the handling (bizarrely), but it's obviously not right.

Not sure if my shock is leaking, or the spring has fatigued, or what.... any thoughts?..... anyone?

Just wondering if this was a known problem so I can get it fixed under warranty or if I'll have to argue the case with my stealer.

often cars are designed from the factory to sit slightly higher on the drivers side to take into account a drop when the driver is sat in it. I know this is the case with the megane coupes, not 100% sure on the lcr's mind

theres a plastic cap that the lowering spring sits on. where i upgraded the suspension two were damaged , kinda crushed flat. replaced them and the car grew about 8mm.

just a thought

the rear spring may have snapped.just look underneath the rear it will be easy enough to spot if it has

i would say it would be a leaky unit, this an be caused by a weak seal and wouldnt take much to break if the car was loaded up and the suspension hit the bump stop quickly.Take it in uder warranty and get them to check it.

Cheers guys,

I knew you'd come up with an answer for me  .

I'm on 19.8k at the mo, will take it in for it's 20k service soon and get it fixed at the same time (along with the creaky dash! ).
