I'm back in a mk1 after 13 years, decided on an R like you. 2 months and 4000 miles later it's going well. New discs and pads, front tyres and the new mot was plain sailing. Mpg takes a bit of getting used to after a diesel but no worse than I expected. Great car with a few more jobs on the cards! If I knew how I'd post a pic.

so much fun these cars i just want to drive all the time lol, gonna get my rear windows tinted limo black next and some sort of side decal to be different, wheels were refurbed before i brought it as were the calipers, ive so far fitted a forge 008 dv, it has a miltek back box and a pipercross panel filter, plenty planned for it without going mad

OH that video says mines been remapped? The guy I brought from said it was standard apart from panel filter and rear box? Confused now and unsure what map it's got
It could have been returned to standard, many people do this before they sell there cars best way to tell is look under it!

I think the diameter is 2.5 inch and i'm sure plenty of cars have after market exhaust because the genuine replacements were stupid money from seat.
I'm sure mine has an aftermarket exhaust on just not a performance one.

This is how I want mine to look like, little while to go yet.
I like totally standard look, keeping black clean takes some doing this time of year. Wheel refurb next, standard colour, when I get the chance. What's your list?
