Some of you may remember me from a few years ago.

This was my Leon

I sold Leon and got the golf to save some money to pay for our wedding and allow me and misses to move in together. It had 5 sets of wheels, big brakes, full anniversary kit, revo'd etc

When we were married it allowed me to get this.

Then we found out we were having our first child so I sold it for this more sensible car
E90 MSport BM

Now our little one is 9 months old and we have replaced misses car so I no longer needed a sensible car. I was going to get a E46 M3 or a Evo8 but my friend was after a nice diesel BM and had a mint Cupra R so I took it in part exchange. Although it's not a patch on the quality of the Beemer it's really fun to drive and I love it

So here it is, a 2006 grey LCR with only 60k and full history. I've had it a few weeks now.

As I got it


Coilovers turned up less then 24hrs after I bought it.

Fitted.


It's also got a jabba sport induction kit and heat shield and a forge 008, a TIP and a stage1 map. 12mm rear TPI spacers 8mm front H&R's

Plans are. A full turbo back miltek exhaust, a large front mount Intercooler, a larger TIP and a custom stage2 map. ... But first I'm repainting the wheels and refurbing the brembo's.

Cheers guys. The golf had a few sets of smaller 18's to.

The fastest was the ST but by far the best was the BM, everything about it was solid and you knew you were driving something with a bit of quality about it.

Things should move quite fast with the new one, will be stage 2 by the summer maybe before.

Skateboard looks crazy,
Did think about an st. before I got my Lcr, as I could only get an early one I was worried about the liner problems on the early model,

They still have the liner problems on the later ones to. The problem is ford source the blocks from whoever is the cheapest and some batches were worse then others. Jam sport do a block mod now that eliminates the problem but it's not cheap. I would not have another one as it wasn't really much fun and drank petrol.

Great to see you back with another Seat Adam, although I have found luxury and comfort in our family wagon - VW Passat CC - our son is 9 months old tomorrow - how life changes... The LCR is still a great drivers car IMO and still is one o the best looking cars around. You gonna stick with the original Ronals or is that a daft question Hope you enjoy it

Jamsport know their fords.
I very had a few fords always preferred the shape of the mk1 Focus,
Found the rs boys can be a bit clicky.

Hi James, surprised I've not seen you about as I must be pretty local to you, had a look through your build thread yesterday it's very impressive! We have a focus tdci as our sensible family car now but I'm thinking of changing it for a A3. Time certainly does fly! I'm sticking with the standard ronals ..... Maybe!

Pigeon fancier .. Yeah I prefer the mk1 but they suffer from rot quite bad. The ford scene in General is not that great unless your 'old school' where as I found the VAG scene brilliant.

The biggest first show of the year is Ultimate Dubs. I missed last year as our little one had just arrived but I'm going this year.

Fair few cars, I looked into the ST's the early models, but fuel costs and the power wasn't worth it, but the 5 pot motor is a good sound!

Was the BM derv?

Yeah the ST averaged 17-23mpg which is terrible for the performance ... Sounded smart tho!

Yeah the BM was a mapped 320d MSport. I would have a 335d if they weren't so expensive

Full miltek turbo back exhaust fitted today ... What a pain in the arse to fit the downpipe! The top nut is a nightmare! we ended up taking the charge pipe and heat shield off and undoing the nut from the top.

Will get some pics tomorrow when it's light.
