Got round to modding my air box.

After searching everywhere found some suitable 3.5" hose, its quite flexible and really smooth on the inside.

Here it is coming fo mthe airbox

It goes down behind the bumper, I cut a piece out of the splitter and this is where the hose appears, you can see it behind the piece iv cut out.

a few bits and pieces need tidying up but its pretty much sorted :D maf readings have gone up from 163g/s to over 170

nice one, i've gone back to a green panel filter in the stock box/feed due to higher intake temps with an open filter, and poor airflow. MAF readings are the same as people with dynatwist etc.

forget the name of the place, evendine or evenside or something. They supply water hoses

looks good and will be far lest restrictive than the standard route through bumper that gives no clean path

Steve, any chance you can remember where the place is (eg street name or business park or whatever).

I've been wanting some good hoes for a while - and it looks like you have found it m8!

for those people that like their proof

Iv tried to keep everything as similar as possible to ensure accurate results. The car was as close to the same running temps as possible on both runs, and both runs were done in similar atmospheric conditions, on the same stretch of road

Anyone done this on the lcr?
Got a nice mesh already there, just behind the fog light.
Do you lead the new pipe to the back of this?
Might nip the garden centre tomorrow a get some pipe just wanted to know how/where to fit it
