One question.

I now have odd tyres on the front of my car. I will be getting another eagle F1 fitted to my right front on wednesday.

However at the moment when I drive my car, if I have my steering wheel dead center the car pulls to the right. Could this be because I have a fresh tire on my left side and a nearly illegal one on the right side?

When my car is stationary and the steering wheel is center both wheels point straight.

Any thoughts?

visually the front wheels look straight!

one would only have to be out by a degree to cause the car to veer to one side.
for peace of mind, get the wheel alignment checked out.

btw, what did you do to cause the damage?

was it an insurance job? it should have been checked properly if it was (and certainly if you paid your excess I'd be demanding 'equal' tyres')

Nope I did it private. They did say if there was any problems I should just bring the car down. The guy tried to get me the same make tyre but couldnt get hold of it!

They did track it, not sure about alignment though. They also test drove the car for 12 miles!

All in this thread mate ;)

i have to ask, why didn't you put it through the insurance?

I pay 2.8 grand at 18 with 0NCB.

I can only imagine what sort of huge sum they would charge me come renewal date with a claim on my profile!:headhurt:

get the alignment done again with 2 new tyres on the front mate

you have paid a lot of money and it needs to be correct or your new tyres will scrub out very quickley

Tracking will only ensure both wheels are pointing straight, not the camber or caster.

These also need adjusting, especially as they've had the suspension apart. I guess your NSF wheel is out of line with the OSF wheel in line.

The car service light is up on the dash as its coming up to it being a year old. I got the car when it was about 9 months old and they said they would service it before handing over but there is no stamp in the book so should I get this done anyway.

Will definetly have to get all the tracking/alignment or whatever its called sorted out.
