my abs is going to be the death of me!!!!!! *moved

I have changed my abs sensor as it has cum up on vag com that it is the sensor!!! after changing it the light has not extinguished!!! do i have to use vag com to turn the light off or have i jus it rong???? plz help me!!!

Did you clear the fault code after you had fitted the new sensor?

have you tried driving it ???

plus check the wires - 9/10 usually a melted loom not a sensor

I have not cleared it on vag com yet, is it that??? be a load off my mind if that is wot it is!!! jam xxx

just a short drive usually takes the light back off as they constantly scan

dont forget there is a long wire going to the sensor - just cos it lists sensor wont actually mean it is that part - it just informs that it has registered a problem associated with it

probably split the wire under the back seat - or melted against the exhaust

i have replaced the whole wire and sensor so it shudnt be a prob!! cant drive it at da mo as it off da road. sum bugger reversed into me knockin off my front bumper. just thought it would be an opportunity to get things done!!! il try the vag com and if that doesnt work then il have to wait for it to get back from the body shop to drive it!!! jay xx

what the Whole loom right back to the abs control unit ?

or just the sensor with its own short cable ?
