I clayed my car today and removed all the old swirl marks (but revealed many chips :( )...took me 4 hours! What do you think?

Hi mate - car looks great. However a claybar doesnt remove swirl marks. What else did you use?

Thanks. I used Meguiars gold class shampoo, Megs clay kit, Megs Deep Crystal Paint Cleaner, deep crystal polish and finally autoglym aqua wax.

That's a good process however what it has actually done is masked the swirls as opposed to go rid of them. Park the car under street lighting and have a look.

Well it looks good. I will one day get a full paint correction, but other mods prevail. I did however find a recent chip that has gone through to metal. What do you suggest to seal it up?

Very nice, it's very hard to remove swirls with through hand polishing it can be done, not 100% but takes a while lol - something i could never do!

Looking good :)

4 Hours! blimey you work quick. it's taken me a week and a half to do mine :)

looks luuurrrvvvly though.

tell me about it, i remember claying mine last year and attempting the megs 3 stage. i washed it, clayed it and did stage 1. this took me 6 hours alone, i never realy did stage 2 and just ended up waxing (3) it a week or two later:headhurt:
