Multiple System Failure Messages

Hi all, just wondering if anyone has ever had a similar experience to what I did the other day...

I've got a 17 plate Leon FR and it simply does not work in the snow AT ALL. Tyres are awful, they're Bridgestone tyres, and just have absolutely no grip in the snow/ice or even damp/wet road surfaces..

Anyway while trying to get to work the other night in the snow, (and having to be pushed and towed 4 times just to get up even the slightest incline), I was stuck on a particular section of road and was just wheelspinning for ages trying to get moving again, traction control turned off, in second gear, not riding the clutch, and suddenly an error message came up, and then another.. and another, in total it think about 8 error messages came up, everything had 'failed' from start stop and auto brake hold to the headlamp levelling system and front assist.

I could scroll through all of the messages on the small screen on the dashboard and there was a number of warning lights lit up too.

This is what it looked like on the main screen too..

I'm just wondering if anyone else has had a similar experience, or knows what the cause of the failure was? Once I turned the car off and on again, the messages all cleared and everything seems fine now, just couldn't worked out why it had happened?!

Not too far away
It could just be that it couldnt make sense of the data comming from the sensors with probably all 4 wheels spinning at completely different rates for a prolonged period. I had something similar years ago in an Ibiza in the snow, it basically said it didn't have a clue what was going on so turned ABS and TCS off and handed control back to the driver.

Not experienced it in the Leon (yet) however in the Ibiza I went for a 'play' in the snow and managed to bring on lots of dash lights.
I assume the front wheels doing 50mph, the rear wheels doing 0mph, the handbrake on and full steering lock must have confused it. The ESP would have been having a fit trying to sort it out.

Switched it off and on again. Drove home normally, no more problems.
