is there any particular reason behind multiple coilpacks failing together or is it just a common coincidence?
only recently did i have my first ever coilpack failure (cylinder 4) and within a week a second failed. my issue is that when the second failed and i scanned to see which cylinder , i had cylinder 1 and 2 appear, but as i only had a single spare i fitted it to cylinder 1. cleared the faults. started the engine and it was fine.
but thats still 2 coilpack failures in a week and I fear a 3rd might happen sooner rather than later which is why tomorrow i plan to get another 2 and fit them straight away before break down 30miles away from home with a car that sounds like a tin half full of nails
but is there any specific reason why?
