This might sound stupid, but how do you fit these things? the instructions are in a different language although its easy to understand the pictures but for example the front ones, the pictures say there is 4 screws to screw in, now where are they? do i have to unscrew that black plastic casing around the inner arch and remove this then fit the flaps and put the casing back on?

If so then ive unscrewed 3 screws for that inner arch but it wont budge and i dont wanna break it. There is 2 screws at the lower end and one above the arch, or am i doing it all wrong?

Just remove the screws that align with the holes on the mud flap from the arch, and then screw back in with the ones you get in the kit. The hardest bit is doing it without taking the wheels off (on the back that is).

i thought that then on the pictures it showed them unscrew the inner arch bit and its sort saying u need to put the mudflaps in there, well thats what it looked like to me.

So why is there 4 screw holes on the flaps when your only gonna be using the 2 that are already tehre?

You do use four on the front ones from memory, at least when I put mine on I used all holes available!

Just been out and checked and there are definitely 4 screws holding each of the front mud flaps in place - they just all line up. You haven't got side skirts have you?

The mud flaps have 4 holes in, there are 2 screws holding the bottom of the wheel arch liner.
Remove the two screws holding the wheel arch liner, offer up the mud flap so it sits on top of the wheel arch liner between the liner and the wheel.
Using two of the new screws that came with the mudflaps put them in the original holes, loosely tighten them up to hold it in place.
The two additional holes in the mudflap need pilot holes drilling in to the liner as the screws only go in to the liner so don't go mad tightening them up.
At the top of the mudflap there is a flap sticking out there is a clip in with the mudflaps which is supposed to go over this and on to the wing, I did not use this, instead I put clear silicone behind the mudflap before fitting and along the join of the mudflap to the liner and wing to try and stop mud getting stuck behind.
Hope this helps.

makes sense, knew there was not four holes to screw into, haing to make holes explains it. You would think they would of made four holes on the arch liner if they made them on the flaps rather then expecting someone to drill. Im assimung i will need a drill then or can this be done pretty easily without?

is the flaps for the back the same?

You might get away with using a sharp bradawl or something similar as its only plastic.
I did not bother with the rear ones so i have no experience of fitting them.
It is easier with the wheel off as no matter which lock you put on the Tyre is in the way.

I bought front and rear Seat mudflaps for my 08 FR and fitted them in around 1 hour which included taking off all 4 wheels! I found the step by step instructions quite easy to follow once I had studied them properly and realised the screws had to be swapped around.

just fitted all mudflaps too front and back. Fronts were pretty easy, didnt have to take wheel off, only used 3 screws though, would of had to take wheel off to use 4 as i couldnt make a pilot hole. But im sure 3 will be secure enough, seems it.

The rear ones were easy, well apart from having to take the wheels off. All fitted now and looks very nice.

Just to be sure, is there any others on here whos dont fit perfectly tight ? mine fit nice but i mean i can see the odd small small gap but nothing major which you can notice.
