as money seems to be getting tighter iv decided to take my foot off the gas a little  in order to try and save a few pennies. i do local driving mainley and the best iv got so far is 32.3 mpg this was on a 11 mile trip is that decent? on average though when i used to drive normal/fast ;) i got 200 miles for £40. just wondered if anyone else got that cos it seems like my cars really thirsty. Before i had this i had a polo tdi and got 65 mpg thats all its so different on the pocket u see. cheers. ps standard car aswell apart from air filter;)

I used to work on 20 pence a mile in the Cupra so 200 miles for £40 is about right as there is only a slight difference in economy between the FR and Cupra.

32.3 mpg sounds good for an 11 mile trip.

I drive fairly quickly, and pay £40 for about 280 miles. My best was 43mpg but that was on a long drive back from the airport and driving fairly slowly (70mph)!

I drive on A/B roads for 44 miles a day and best I can get driving normally (booting it occasionally) is 28 mpg over a tank. My old LCR used to get 26 to a tank on the same journey so it's not too bad.
