Hi I have recently started diving my ibiza cupra mk3 with mods:

Ko3s Turbo
Stage 2 Remap (220+ bhp before decat)
Front mount intercooler
3inch downpipe - 2.5inch straight throught to 3inchbackbox
inducton kit
N249 bypass
motorsport red tip turbo intake pipe
carbon canister delete
half polished inlet manifold and polished boost pipe.

I have not been driving it for long but it seems to be drinking fuel at an insane rate.
.what would you expect mpg wise with these mods?
.what are people getting?
.is it worth an eco map on a multi map comp? how much would this cost and what mpg are people getting?

Cheers need help asap, collecting cat soon but may need to sell if fuel keeps going at this rate.

depends on how u drive it is the big one if ur foot is planted then ur not going to get far in a tank i average about 240-260 on a 40ltr tank before the light comes on but i done 320 on saturday on motorway at 65- 70

Yeh i understand that obvs and dont hit the turbo if you want to save fuel but i drove 16 miles changing gear under 2K revs and it used £5+ of fuel so around 16mpg with out hitting turbo or going past 2K revs :/

Any help, would the fact the decat wasdone after remap or the decat itself make a massive increase in fuel consumption? i should be picking up the old exhaust system today.

shouldnt make a diffrence from what i no the fuel is allready burnt the exhaust is only letting it breath better, ur map could be really really rich, garage job for me as i dont have any knowlage vagcom is ur best bet

Well exhausts with cats create back pressure preveting so much fuel and air mix to pass through as quick. Yeh i was thinking possibly the map could be set high but i cant afford to do anything about that atm :/ cheers anyway

Ok cheers guys. Did a test filling up two tanks of fuel and figured out running mostly off boost and lowish revs (boring) haha. Im actually getting 38MPG which i thinks great. :D

So if i were to get an eco map anyone got any advice on cost and how many more mpg there getting?

I probably wouldnt advise an Eco map if you have a car with 220bhp+ as the car is obviously built for performance.

Usually cost around £250/£400 mark, and on a car like that the gains will be minimal

get a boost gauge in your car i was driving to work an back with my ibiza at stage2 with decat an all other mods an i got well over 300 mile to a tank an at 70mph of boost running in HG i was seeing 45mpg on a good run.

Already have a boost gauge thats how i was able to tell him i was getting 15psi.
I have done a test now with stage 2 and decat etc, i found out im getting just over 300miles to a tank averaging 37-38 mpg so not bad now but thats without boosting at all really.

brake less, theres a top gear where clarkson drives sensibly in an Audi to scotland and back and it shows alot of techniques on how to drive eco.

1 never brake!! ie spot hazards and avoid them so you dont have to brake.
2 accelerate gently! ie never boost, and drive as mildly as possible
3 drafting. self explanatory
4 excess weight can go!!
5 dont use electrics ie rear screen demisters etc

theres loads but these are the ones i live by when eco driving. ive seen 40+mpg average.

Cheers for the tips I already know them all but considering im not really worrying about them and its getting 38mpg im quite happy to keep it and no chance am i buying a diesel now
