I am currently struggling to get above 41mpg when cruising at 80 on motorway for around 150 miles. I usually get above 50. Any ideas.

Thanks

Cold weather? Heavy right foot? Traffic? Fuel quality? It could be any number of things tbh.

Don't you mean 70 on the motorway.
A number of things it could be, even tyre pressures has an effect on the mpg figures. Just have a general check round the car.

Winter diesel? Dunno when it's normally phased in, but I gather it gives less mpg. 41 sounds a tad low though - I'm still getting about that for 15-mile mixed-road trips to/from work.

ye mine does less now than in the summer around town but i have put that down to having the fan/heater on wipers lights all take a toll on the fuel side more load on the alternator which in thurn puts more load on the engine... more fuel used..
