My MPG meter on my trip computer is all over the place so i'm assuming its faulty. I've got vagcom. Does anyone know how i can sort this? I've done an autoscan and cleared any fault codes there were. Didn't notice anything to do with this though and its still reading all sorts of random figures then just blanks out and reads ---

Got a 2007 cupra without bluetooth so its the small display type.

Cheers

Ye its the current MPG one.

Really! Load of S*** then - even when you're sat on the motorway it bounces all over the place.

unless you are driving without any form of friction, resistance or gradient against the car then of course it will change

It will read --- when you take your foot off the accelerator.

At a constant speed of 70/80mph on the motorway with three mucka's in the car there should be plenty of friction and load. Its a load of s**** if you ask me......

I find my MPG calculator to be pretty spot on actually. Yes it is all over the place, but like it has been said, any change in friction etc will change it.

If you drive normally on the motorway where it is flat, and your foot is still, it will level out and only change a few points.

It depends on your driving!
