Totally depends on how you drive & the conditions !!

Motorway driving, sticking to the speed limits should get you 55-60mpg.

Mixed driving (motorways inc) should get you around 45-52mpg (Based on my journey to work, motorway & town driving at variable speeds)

Town driving will get you around 35-40mpg

Hoofing it will give you less than 20mpg.

I echo these figures except the first one, best I have had is 55. However my daily drive is only 25 miles each way only 15 of which are motorway.

I love the car and whilst I now have finance and my my old ST170 was paid for, I am braking even already (used to fill up for £50 and only get 250 miles out of a tank).

I am getting around 450+ miles to a tank on average, and using Shell Extra all the time, definitely a difference in sainsbury's! No black smoke :)

By the way - mpg should also improve with the more miles you clock up on the engine :)

totally agree with this, it also gets quicker with miles as the engine loosens up.

Typical motorway journey 45-53 mpg depending on how I drive, my attitude is it has 150bhp, I'm going make sure I use everyone on a regular basis! A stretch of road works or a trip down normal roads at 40/50/60mph soon brings the mpg figure back in the direction of 50mpg.

I'm bored of mine now - but haven't got any cash for Revo. CC is also peaking after a Xbox 360 buy :(

Anyone want to buy me Revo ?

The only way I have managed 55mpg is on a 6 mile stretch off the M1 to my house, doing around 60mph in 6th all the way.

Normal motorway driving at 80 (76) in 6th is around 45mpg for me, but again I only do a few miles on the motorway.

Best thing I found though is that I forgot I was low once when I left a shopping centre (even though it beeped I forgot to fill up before getting on the motorway).

The miles left read about 15 and I knew it was about 15 miles to my exit and another 4 to the fillup shop, so I did 60 on the motorway in 6th and took it nice and easy. By the time I got to the station it read that I had 15 miles left) and along the way went up to around 40mile!

Brilliant - love this car!

Managed 4,500 miles on mine now - spent ages analysing the MPG and monitoring it...

Finally found out that if I gave up and just drove the damn thing without watching the fuel comp. I went from 42 mpg up to 47 mpg, its only on a long run I get near 50mpg - I find 5th a better gear to be in most of the time

On average tho I have gained 1 mpg on average per 1000 on the clock

I have noticed a big difference in economy from different fuels - BP ultimate gives me the lowest mpg with morrisons giving me the smoothest idle and highest mpg !! (work that one out)

I have only managed an average of 44mpg though only 7k miles on the clock. My last car, Ibiza FR TDI was the same but went up to around 55mpg by 17k on the clock.....

It takes 60 quid to fill my tank to the brim with Venting and I can get 600 miles but that is driving about 40 miles after computer says 0 miles left....

The fuel guage isnt a very exact measure i am afraid they fly down faster in places due to the shape of the tank and the position of the float. Also you'll find the MPG guage is out, it was always more optimistic on my old car!

Solution, drive it however you want and dont worry about the fuel situation, when the light comes on, put more in. Thats it!

You'd be lucky! The 150PD is not exactly frugal. 450 miles is pretty much it. My 110TDI Toledo - now that's frugal. Average 67MPG with motorway driving and can normally get 600-650 per tank.

And the A6 - that's a 130PD and smite heavier than your Leon or Toledo - plus it's multitronic so it's less thirsty than the tiptronic autos ; I can get 770 miles from a tankful.

That said, I'm having to stick 65 quid's worth of derv in that tank compared to the Toledo's 45 quid. That's pretty much 50mpg.

I think cruise control makes quite a bit of difference. My biggest complaint over the Leon Cupra (other than the sping-snapping damping) was it's lack of CC. Fun car to drive though.
