Well, I have a '97 GTi Cupra Sport 8v and was playing around with it the other day trying to figure out my average MPG around town. It worked out about 22.1MPG now I know the computer gives you your average MPG but is it possible for it to display your "LIVE" as it were MPG?

Believe it or not there is a way to get it except i cant remember lol. There was a post a while ago where you were able to get extra readings off your trip computer and one of these readings was the 'live' mpg. I think it also gave you a digital rev reading or speedo reading but not sure about those.
You had to push the button to one side and turn the key or something like that.
Im sure someone will come that remembers/knows what im talking about.

Yeah I think there is a way to get the info up. Well there is a "secret area" to the service computer. I remember reading it on a polo forum WAYYYY before I started driving. Loadsa useless info in there that I thought would be soo cool to have on my car if I had one with a trip computer!

Right just tried it and it disables the top 3 features so that you can only use the MPG, Oil Temp and Outside Temp. This is the same on MFA 1 & MFA 2

Mines a 1997 GTi 16v. Any ideas?
