Dear All,

After much thought and deliberation I have decided that it is time to leave the clan. I recently test drove a Focus ST-2 which is a fine motor but, I am going to be a Dad (1st time) in about 2 weeks time so I have decided to become a "Mondeo Man!"

I have gone for a 2.2 TDCI Titanium X. I have never owned a Diesel (or a Mondeo) but I must admit the mpg and torque power are putting a smile on my face. The car has loads of gadgets and is very "family friendly" with a huge boot. Check it out... http://uk.cars.yahoo.com/car-reviews/car-and-driving/ford-mondeo-tdci-155-euro-iv-range-1002535.html

Wishing you all - happy & safe motoring.

Mike

You'll be surprise how short a time you will need a family waggon for. I was back in a hot hatch before my little girl was 3. You don't need to take half as much crap about with your after about 18 moths..... so see you in 3!

Fair enough fella, just remember you dont have to resign your self to a family car for the rest of your life. Think of it as a blip!
Good luck with the kiddy as well :)

I think they chip quite well - get one of those reversible superchips things (bluefin?) and you'll not miss the Leon too much, especially when you average 45-50mpg on a run and can have a bit o fun when you in the car on your own. Mondeo a bit long in the tooth but still tidy handlers.

New one out this year or next?
