Hi Guys

The Cupra has been flying since the remap and its certainly happy enough... but I'm getting a lot of engine movement at least thats what it feels like to me...

Currently have standard mounts on the car which have done 99k now... do I just need to uprate the dogbone mount or is their a bit more to it?

Trouble is I do a lot of miles and dont want anything thats going to cause vibration through the car.

ths uprated engine and dogbone mounts are the way forward matey...

no vibration and cheap enough aswell.

Sorry mate which mounts do you mean other than dogbone... I know which that one is but not sure about the others it uses?

Basically get too much movement on acceleration and deceleration... too much torque see... :D;)

I'd do all 3 rather than just DB

I spoke to Ollie from THS last week and he said just doing the dogbone mount would cause the 2 standard mounts to wear out quicker.

Depends on condition of current mounts, but 90K plus i should imagine there not in the best of shape, and if its rocking now to an extent, this is also making the current engine and tranny mount weaker. If there fine but want to upgrade the dogbone cant see it putting much stress on either tbh.

Its worth spending the money if its as you describe, and also the milage is quite high.

looking about 70 a pop for standard mounts + 20 for dogbone so thats 160, and you can get these for a little more..

I just fitted the DBM, at least the wheels don't skip trying to launch any more, now they just spin lol!!

LOL...

Had a big play with an 'M' series BMW yesterday on the A49 and getting the power down out of roundabouts was proving pretty hard as the inside wheel kept spinning up... I'd kill for an LSD :D
